Spanish Wines

FIRST COURSE ~  Ajo Blanco (chilled almond soup garnished with green grapes)

2007 Ameztoi, Txakolina, Upelean
This light and crisp wine is bottled with residual carbon to give it its signature natural spritz.  Rich and complex aromas of lees and brine framed by succulent citrus fruit flavors.  The wine is rich and long on the palate.  $16.50

2007 Do Ferreiro, Albarino, Rias Biaxas
Complex aromas of salinity, exotic fruits with wet earth/herbal tones.  The palate is textured with excellent acidity. $22


SECOND COURSE ~  Costllas Barbeque  (Spanish style roasted pork ribs)

2006 Vina Sastre, Roble, Ribera del Duero
Bright red fruit with notes of mushrooms and toast.  The palate is soft and accessible.  $16

2005 Joan d’Anguera, Finca l’Argata, Monstant
Mineral overtones with a hint of fresh berries.  The fruit on the palate is sweet with elegant mineral and spicy nuances.

THIRD COURSE ~  Tocino de Cielo  (caramel and toffee flavored dessert)

NZ El Maestro Sierra, Oloroso, 15 Anos
Incredibly complex aromas of hazelnuts and exotic spices.  This richly textured wien is complex with nuances of nuts and spicy elements.  $14
