May 19th Seminar
- Jackalope Grill
- 4:00-6:00 (Arrive 15 min. early.)
On Monday, May 19th, Women Tasting Wine will feature wines from WillaKenzie Estate, presented by Dominique Mahe of WillaKenzie Estate.
Passion for Pinot with a Sense of Place is what defines Willakenzie Estate, a family owned winery located in the heart of the Willamette Valley. Willakenzie Estate produces Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and small amounts of Pinot Meunier, Gamay Noir and Chardonnay. The wines are made from grapes sustainably grown on the Estate and their Old World style reflect their French heritage.
Winemaking at WillaKenzie Estate is guided by an uncompromising commitment to quality. They combine the best traditional French methods with American innovation to craft wines that are complex, refined, and unique — wines that express the distinctive terroirs of WillaKenzie Estate and their Jory Hills Vineyard. Their wines are also a reflection of Oregon’s cool climate, with elegance, ageability and balance as their hallmarks. With every wine, they focus on bringing forth intense flavors, robust structure, round and supple tannins. All of their wines are produced in limited quantities with sustainability in mind, bringing an honest reflection of their estate.
The Willakenzie Estate wines reflect the varying soil and exposure elements of the single vineyard-designations. These wines are all superb examples of Burgundian wine-making techniques applied to top quality Willamette Valley grapes. This is a WTW seminar that should not be missed!
Join us in tasting some of these fine wines, paired with complementary small plates creatively prepared by Chef Tim Garling.
We will meet on Monday, May 19th, from 4:00-6:00 at Jackalope Grill, 750 Lava Road. The cost is $45.
To facilitate making your reservation for the May 19 WTW Seminar, we will be accepting credit cards as well as cash or checks (made out to “Women Tasting Wine.”) You can drop off your check at Bend Wine Cellar Thursday or Saturday from 2:00-5:00. (Stop by Saturday and enjoy a complimentary wine tasting.) You can also call Diane (388-7564) with your credit card information. As the menu is a fixed one and not a la carte, please let us know at the time of registration if you have any food allergies. We need to have our final numbers in on the Wednesday before the event for the purpose of ordering the food, so payment needs to be received by Wednesday, May 14.
Remember, reservations are on a first come, first served basis and your payment is your reservation. Since we have to have our “head count” in by Wednesday morning, there will be no refunds for cancellations after 9:00 AM Wednesday, May 14, or for no-shows on the day of the seminar.
We hope to see you in May and at future monthly Women Tasting Wine Seminars!
