The May 21st seminar will feature wines from Amalie Robert Estate in Dallas, Oregon, presented by owners and operators Dena Drews and Ernie Pink.  Located in the central Willamette Valley, some fifteen miles southwest of Salem, Oregon, Amalie Robert Estate produces premium Pinot noir, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and a small amount of Northern Rhone varietals. Amalie Robert Estate has quickly earned a reputation for its farming practices, reflecting a true understanding of the site. They have dedicated themselves to growing premium quality fruit and are committed to delivering quality throughout the growing and winemaking process. They have been keen students of the industry through their collaboration with some of Oregon’s most celebrated wineries.  Ernie and Dena  have been producing fine wines since 1999.

Amalie Robert Estate has been chosen as a “Top 100 Winery of the Year” by Wine & Spirits Magazine. The 2007 Syrah*, the 2007 Amalie’s Cuvée*, the 2008 Estate Selection, and 2009 Heirloom Cameo* each hit the 93 point “wineglass” ceiling. (Note: * also denotes a “Year’s Best” selection.)

This is Amalie Robert’s fourth visit to WTW, which is a testament to the quality of their wines and to the charming personalities of Dena and Ernie.

We are eagerly looking forward to their presentation on Monday, May 21, and to Chef Tim’s unique creations complementing these fine Amalie Robert wines. 

We will meet on Monday, May 21, from 4:00-6:00 at Jackalope Grill.  The cost is $45.

To facilitate making your reservation for the May 21 WTW Seminar, we will be accepting credit cards as well as cash or checks (made out to “Women Tasting Wine.”)  You can drop off your check at Bend Wine Cellar Thursday or Saturday from 2:00-5:00.  (Stop by Saturday and enjoy a complimentary wine tasting.)  You can also call Diane (388-7564) with your credit card information. Please let us know at the time of registration if you have any food allergies.  We need to have our final numbers in on the Wednesday before the event for the purpose of ordering the food, so payment needs to be received by Wednesday, May16. 

Remember, reservations are on a first come, first served basis and your payment is your reservation.  Since we have to have our “head count” in by Wednesday morning, there will be no refunds for cancellations after 9:00 AM Wednesday, May 16, or for no-shows on the day of the seminar.
