August 18th Seminar
"Patricia Green Cellars"
- Jackalope Grill
- 4:00-6:00 (Arrive 15 min. early.)
On Monday, August 18, Women Tasting Wine will feature wines from Patricia Green Cellars, presented by Melissa Groshong. Patricia Green Cellars, famous for its quality wines, is located in the Ribbon Ridge district of Yamhill County on the 52 acre estate purchased in 2000 by Patty Green and Jim Anderson. The winery, and thus the two friends, are noted for producing a tremendously broad selection of Pinot Noirs from far flung vineyards representing some of the better sites in the Ribbon Ridge, Dundee Hills, Chehalem Mountains, and the Eola Hills growing regions. Their wines are made in a very traditional fashion that emphasizes the quality of the raw materials with which they begin, the experience they have with making wine and the intuitive decisions they make during each harvest to produce top quality wine. The Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir they make come from year round hard work, dedication and passion for making the best wines they are able to.
We will meet on Monday, August 18th, from 4:00-6:00 at Jackalope Grill, 750 Lava Road. The cost is $45.
To facilitate making your reservation for the August 18 WTW Seminar, we will be accepting credit cards as well as cash or checks (made out to “Women Tasting Wine.”) You can drop off your check at Bend Wine Cellar Thursday or Saturday from 2:00-5:00. (Stop by Saturday and enjoy a complimentary wine tasting.) You can also call Diane (388-7564) with your credit card information. As the menu is a fixed one and not a la carte, please let us know at the time of registration if you have any food allergies. We need to have our final numbers in on the Wednesday before the event for the purpose of ordering the food, so payment needs to be received by Tuesday, August 12.
Remember, reservations are on a first come, first served basis and your payment is your reservation. Since we have to have our “head count” in by Wednesday morning, there will be no refunds for cancellations after 9:00 AM Wednesday, August 12, or for no-shows on the day of the seminar.
We hope to see you in August and at future monthly Women Tasting Wine Seminars!
